Races
I would like to take this opportunity to present a new page on our website. This page will be titled “Races” and you can find it on the menu bar.
This section will be a list of races that members of our gym are currently signed up for. I know a few of you have been suggesting we get together as a gym and do a race, half-marathon, spartan/tough mudder style run. In the meantime, until we can figure out which races we would like to do as a gym, I would like to highlight those races which you guys sign up.
Here is how it works:
You send me a link to the race you are signed up for. I will post it on the page and say that you are committed to running it. I will ask if anyone would like to join you in the race, or who would like to go in support. When you have completed the race, you can send a picture in with your race time. Even if you haven’t signed up yet… send me a link to a race that you are on the fence about… maybe the motivation will get someone to join you.
In the meantime, I would like to highlight a few races that Coach Kip has signed up for.
Race: Twin Peaks 2012

Date: Octorber 13, 2012
Distance: 50K
Race Information: http://trailrunning.dirtyfeet.
At 15,000′+ of elevation gain (all over the first 42 miles), Twin Peaks has *more elevation gain than any other North American 50 mile race and is arguably the toughest 50 miler in the US (or at least top 3!). This race is no joke as you can find out by asking anybody who has ran it before. It is not for the squeamish. That being said, it IS a fantastic race with great support and beautiful course. If you are looking for a fun, challenging and beautiful ultra, then Twin Peaks is for you.

I would like to get a team together for the Nanny Goat. We could camp out! It would be a great way to support Coach Kip and also raise money for a great cause. Anyone else down?
