Over the the past few 7 weeks we have been focusing on the Olympic lifts as part of our buy-ins. So far we have seen a lot of progress, not just on numbers, but just on the mechanics of the lifts. This week, and next week we will take a step back and see where we are in the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. If nothing else, today will be a good day to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. Whatever you get on today’s buy in, post it on the website. Whatever you feel you need more improvement on… post it here. (Like.. if you feel you have an issue with getting under the bar, or pulling the bar up). I want to hear the feedback to see where we can improve.
Today we will spend some time workout towards a 1 rep max snatch.
Once everyone is complete we are going to attempt a CrossFit benchmark workout named, “Isabel”. Isabel is performed by completing 30 Snatches for time. The prescribed load is 135/95lbs. The standard for this movement is ground to overhead. You can power snatch, or squat snatch.
